HCS/HB 2161 - Under current law, the sale of driver's license application information to other organizations or states for commercial purposes is prohibited without the express permission of the driver's license applicant. This act specifies that "commercial purposes" shall not include driver's license application information used, compiled, or obtained solely for purposes expressly allowed under the Missouri or federal Drivers Privacy Protection Act (section 302.183). This provision is also contained in SS/SCS/HB 2111 (2010) and HCS/SB 716 (2010).
