SCR 53 - Currently, United States Senators are elected by popular vote under the seventeenth amendment of the United States Constitution. This resolution declares this process defective and requests Congress to amend the seventeenth amendment to allow state legislatures to elect members of the United States Senate. CHRIS HOGERTY
