SB 261 - Under this section, a person commits criminal nonsupport if he or she knowingly fails to provide adequate support for his or her spouse or child as legally obligated. Currently, such an act is criminal if the person did so without good cause. This act is similar to a provision of SS/SCS/HCS/HB 111 (2011) and HCS/SCS/SB 829 (2010).
