HCS/HB 174 – This act modifies the composition of the Coordinating Board for Higher Education, the Board of Curators for the University of Missouri and the governing board of Missouri State University. For each board, current law provides that no more than one person will be appointed from each congressional district. This act provides that at least one but no more than two persons will be appointed from each congressional district. However, nothing relating to a change in the composition and configuration of congressional districts in this state will prohibit a member serving a term on August 28, 2011 from completing his or her term. This act is substantially similar to SCS/SB 163 (2011) and is similar to SB 255 (2009).
