HB 888 -- Nondriver's Licenses

Sponsor: Brattin

This bill requires the Department of Revenue, upon request for a nondriver's license, to issue a temporary 30-day nondriver's license to the applicant. Prior to the expiration of the 30-day period, the department must verify the identity and citizenship of the applicant; and upon verification, a standard nondriver's license card must be issued.

A nonexpiring standard nondriver's license will only be issued to a United States citizen.
