Current Bill Summary

SB 453 - Under this act, state correctional health care systems and contracted managed correctional health care services must implement clinical code editing technology, correctional health care claims audit and recovery services, and automated payment detection, prevention, and recovery solutions.

This act provides that the Department of Corrections may contract for the required technology services. To the extent possible, these services shall be secured using the savings generated by the program.
