SCS/HCS/HB 986 - This act extends the sunset date for the Hand-Up Program, reauthorizes the Ticket-to-Work program until 2019 and creates the Missouri Senior Services Protection Fund. HAND-UP PROGRAM (Section 208.053) This act extends the sunset date for the Hand-Up Program from 3 years after August 28, 2012, to three years after August 28, 2014. This act also provides that in order to qualify for the program the recipient shall have been receiving full child care service benefits for a period of at least four months prior to implementation of the program. TICKET-TO-WORK PROGRAM (Section 208.146) This act reauthorizes the Ticket-to-Work program until 2019. Currently the program is set to expire on August 28, 2013. This provision is identical to a provision in HB 985 (2013); and similar to a provision in HCS/HB 700 (2013); MISSOURI SENIOR SERVICES PROTECTION FUND (Section 208.1050) This act creates the Missouri Senior Services Protection Fund. Moneys in the fund are to be used for services for low-income seniors and people with disabilities. The State Treasurer is directed to deposit $55,100,000 into the Missouri Senior Services Protection Fund on July 1, 2013. This provision has an emergency clause. ADRIANE CROUSE
