SB 208 - Under current law, if a youth under the age of 18 is released from the custody of the Children's Division within the Department of Social Services, the juvenile officer, the Children's Division or the youth may petition the court to return to the custody of the Children's Division if it appears it would be in the youth's best interest. This act raises the age limit from 18 to 21. This provision is contained in HCS/SB 205 (2013).
