SB 429 - Currently, cities located within a county already imposing a transient guest tax are prohibited from imposing an additional transient guest tax. There is an exception for St. Peters. This act creates a similar exception for Edmundson and Woodson Terrace. The act authorizes these two cities to collect a transient guest tax up to 0.7%, if such tax is approved by the voters of the city. The act does not require that the tax be used solely for the promotion of tourism.
