SB 711 - This act authorizes fourth class cities to regulate residential rental property. Such regulations may require a property owner, landlord or managing agent to register a property with the city prior to leasing it and require the owner, landlord, or agent to reside within, or own an operating business within, fifty miles of the city. In addition, the city may include certain provisions for inspections in the regulations. This act is identical to HB 1981 (2014). MEGHAN LUECKE
