Current Bill Summary

SCS/SB 69 - The act stipulates that the Board of Elections shall be the election authority in counties that have Board of Election Commissioners for purposes of declarations of candidacy. Furthermore, all declarations for candidacy for all elected offices in each political subdivision to be filed with the local election authority.

This act is identical to a provision contained within SB 41 (2015) and similar to SB 781 (2014) and SB 386 (2013).
