SB 363 - This act creates the Board of Administrative Appeals. The Board shall consist of five voting nonattorney members. Two members shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, two appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and one member appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate, all to serve a term of six years. The Board shall have an independent technical advisory staff who shall give advice and assistance to board members on technical matters within their respective areas of expertise.
Any person aggrieved in a contested case before a government agency may file an appeal with the Board of Administrative Appeals and is entitled to a hearing after exhausting all other administrative remedies. Decisions rendered by the Board are binding and subject to judicial review.
