CCS/SCS/HCS/HB 1584 - This act modifies provisions relating to unarmed guards on gambling boats, private probation services, and corporate security advisors.

GUARDS ON GAMBLING BOATS - 84.720

This act exempts a person who holds an occupational license issued by the Missouri Gaming Commission to perform the duties of an unarmed security guard on a gambling boat, or adjacent facilities, from licensing requirements for private security guards in Kansas City and the licensing requirements of any other political subdivision for unarmed security guards.

This provision is identical to HB 2362 (2016) and provisions in the truly agreed to and finally passed CCS/HCS/SS/SB 732 (2016) and SCS/HCS/HB 1964 (2016).

PRIVATE PROBATION SERVICES - 559.600

This act provides that entities providing private probation services for misdemeanor offenders must use the Department of Corrections' procedures when screening for clients and shall not require clients to travel over 50 miles to attend probation meetings.

This provision is similar to a provision of HCS/SB 681 (2016).

CORPORATE SECURITY ADVISORS - 590.750

This act limits the authority and jurisdiction of corporate security advisors to only when the advisor is on duty. The license fee for corporate security advisors is changed from $200 to $210.

This provision is similar to SCS/SB 791 (2016).
