HB 2667 - This act repeals a provision of current law allowing law enforcement agencies to perform a criminal record review for only open records through the MULES system for the purpose of hiring municipal or county governmental employees.

This provision is similar to HCS/HB 1603 (2016).

This act also allows an ambulance district to conduct fingerprint background checks on current and prospective employees, contractors and volunteers.

This provision is identical to a provision of the truly agreed to and finally passed CCS/SB 988 (2016).
