JEFFERSON CITY – On Tuesday, Aug. 4, State Sen. Bob Onder, R-Lake St. Louis, was recognized by Brad Jones, state director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), for achieving a 100 percent voting record during the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions.
“Small business is what drives Missouri’s economy,” Jones said. “By supporting small business, Sen. Onder is supporting working families and the community.”
The NFIB is Missouri’s largest small business association, with over 8,200 dues-paying members representing a cross section of the state’s economy. To achieve a 100 percent NFIB/Missouri voting record, Sen. Onder voted in support of small business on issues such as small business tax reductions, unemployment reform, tort reform and labor law reform.
“In Missouri, over 80 percent of new jobs are created by small businesses,” said Sen. Onder. “I am honored to be recognized by the NFIB for helping them in their valuable work of promoting economic growth and job creation.”
Jones went on to add, “Sen. Onder has stood up for Missouri’s employers and job creators time and time again on important issues such as tax reform and unemployment insurance. Our members appreciate the efforts of the senator to help grow our state’s economy and create jobs.”
