Jefferson City — State Sen. Dave Schatz, R-Sullivan, is joining with officials from across the state to offer his condolences after Lyndon D. Ebker, a longtime employee of the Missouri Department of Transportation, (MoDot) was killed while working on Route 100 in Franklin County near New Haven.
“My prayers are with the Ebker family after the loss of their loved one,” Sen. Schatz said.
Mr. Ebker, 55, was flushing bridges on eastbound Rte. 100, near Buchheit Road. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Ebker was struck by a vehicle while performing this work. He worked for more than 30 years at MoDot and was working as a senior maintenance worker at the time of the incident.
“I would like to encourage Missourians to be sure to be careful when traveling on roads where crews are working,” Sen. Schatz said. “Safety on the roads should always be a priority.”
