Senator Jamilah Nasheed to Host Dedication of “Theodore McNeal Highway”
JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, will join with other local dignitaries to host the dedication of a portion of State Highway 115 in St. Louis from Natural Bridge Rd. and Salisbury St. to the intersection of Highway 115 and Jennings Rd. as the “Theodore McNeal Highway”.
Senator Theodore McNeal was the first African-American Missouri State Senator and was from St. Louis.
“I hope citizens of this city will join with us to honor a great man,” Sen. Nasheed said. “His hard work and dedication did so much for our state and community both during his time and now as his legacy continues.”
The dedication will take place at 10 a.m., on Aug. 1, at 2524 Salisbury St., St. Louis.
