JEFFERSON CITY — This Week in the Missouri Senate reviews House Bill 1631, which would require a person to show photo identification in order to vote. The measure has been vetoed by the executive branch and could be the subject of a veto override when the Legislature returns to Jefferson City for the annual veto session in September. We’ve included actualities from bill handler, Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit; Sen. Shalonn “Kiki” Curls, D-Kansas City; Sen. Rob Schaaf, R-St. Joseph; and Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, D-St. Louis, in this feature report narrated by Senate Communications Officer Dean Morgan.
