HB 261 Requires certain facilities to display a poster relating to human trafficking

HCS/HB 261- The act requires various entities, specified in the act, to display a human trafficking poster in a conspicuous place near the entrance of their establishments, beginning March 1, 2018.

Any entity which is required to display the poster but fails to do so will receive a written warning upon its first violation and may be guilty of an infraction for any subsequent violation.

The Department of Public Safety will create the poster before January 1, 2018, and it will be made available by postal mail and by printing from the department's website.

This act is similar to SB 68 (2017) and SCS/HCS/HB 2561 (2016).
