Jefferson City — State Sen. Ryan Silvey, R-Kansas City, today announced the hiring of Hannah Beers to serve as his communications director. Beers begins immediately and will be focused on expanding constituent and media communication efforts.
“I’m very excited that Hannah is joining our office,” said Silvey in a statement. “Her work in media relations and constituent outreach will be vital to informing and mobilizing the citizens of not only the KC metro area, but the entire state.”
“Hannah is a uniquely qualified talent,” added chief of staff Nick Haynes. “Her work speaks for itself and we’re honored to have her as a part of the team.”
“I’m looking forward to working with Senator Silvey to develop a more aggressive media presence and to enhance the quality of constituent communication,” Beers said. “Clay County is a thriving part of our state and I am honored to serve its citizens.”
Before joining Silvey’s office, Beers served as a staffer for Hanaway for Governor and Ashcroft for Missouri. Beers is a native of Steelville, Missouri and a 2016 graduate of Evangel University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She served as Evangel University student body president and as state chairman of the Missouri Federation of College Republicans.
Ryan Silvey is a Missouri State Senator from Missouri’s 17th district located in Clay County. Senator Silvey serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Vice-Chairman of Fiscal Oversight and as the Chairman of Commerce, Consumer Protection, Energy and the Environment. He also serves on Health and Pensions and Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence.
