JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Ed Emery, R-Lamar, discusses Senate Bill 313, a measure that seeks to modify provisions relating to elementary and secondary education. This proposal has been sent to the Missouri House of Representatives. He also talks about Missouri Senate work on the 2018 Fiscal Year operating budget for the Show-Me State, which will next go to a Missouri Senate-House conference committee. The state financial plan has to be delivered to the governor no later than 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5. Fiscal Year 2018 will start on July 1.
