State Sen. Mike Cunningham, R-Rogersville, today issued the following statement about comments made by Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, hoping for the assassination of the President of the United States.
“I am ashamed of the actions of my fellow Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal. The comments she made are disgraceful for any person, not to mention an elected official. I call for her immediate resignation.”
Senate Leadership is exploring legal options available through the Missouri Constitution, updates will be forthcoming.
