Joint Statement on the Governor’s Special Session Call  

JEFFERSON CITY — Today, June 9, the offices of Sen. Bill Eigel, R-Weldon Spring, Sen. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, and Sen. Andrew Koenig, R- Manchester, issued the following statement:

“We are pleased to answer the call by the governor to fight to protect life and enact commonsense health and safety standards for medical facilities.

We believe the recent court decision to strike down such basic health and safety standards is a classic overreach of the judiciary and a misrepresentation of the will of Missourians.

We are ready to fight for the important legislation that will come with this special session and will always be ready to defend pro-life measures in the Missouri Senate.”
