JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Jill Schupp, D-Creve Coeur, discusses Missouri’s Fiscal Year 2018 operating budget, which was sent to the executive branch before the constitutionally mandated deadline; House Committee Bill 3, legislation that seeks to modify provisions relating to funds for vulnerable senior citizens; Senate Bill 305, a measure that would modify provisions relating to lobbyist expenditures; and Senate Bill 490, which would require certain health care professionals to complete two hours of suicide prevention training as a condition of initial licensure and as a condition of license renewal. Senator Schupp sponsors this measure, which was heard in a Missouri House of Representatives committee last week.
