Jefferson City — Senator Bob Dixon, R-Springfield, was recently presented with the 2017 #KidsWin Award from the Missouri Children’s Leadership Council for his work, as a Missouri lawmaker, on behalf of children.
“The Missouri Children’s Leadership Council is proud to recognize Sen. Dixon for championing policies that improve the well-being of Missouri children,” said Brian Schmidt, executive director of Missouri Children’s Leadership Council. “Southwest Missourians are fortunate to have a lawmaker that provides critical leadership in advancing the health, education and safety of children.”
Senator Dixon has championed efforts to increase access to early childhood education in the Springfield region, as well as tirelessly supported efforts to pass legislation that will protect, educate and empower children across the state.
“It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Missouri Children’s Leadership Council. Quality early childhood education is a big part of creating bright futures for our kids. I will continue to work to improve educational opportunities both in the Springfield area and in Missouri as a whole,” Sen. Dixon said.
