KANSAS CITY, Mo. — State Senator S. Kiki Curls, D-Kansas City, will host the 11th Annual Public Health and Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
The event is in partnership with the Black Health Care Coalition, Office of Minority Health, Kansas City Police Department, and Truman Medical Centers.
“Effective partnerships between law enforcement and the community are essential to public safety,” Curls said. “For 10 years, we have worked together to provide vital health and safety information to our residents in order to enhance their quality of life.”
The fair brings together a number of health specialists who will offer health screenings, as well as body mass index readings and dental checks. In addition, safety experts will assist with car and booster seat installation and offer bicycle safety tips.
Transportation, provided by RideKC, will allow individuals to be picked up and dropped off from four central Kansas City locations.
We hope you can join us for this visual and impactful event. KC Wolf, the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders and Healthy Hip Hop will all be in attendance. There will also be “Star Wars” cosplayers, featuring members from the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion and The Dark Empire, Truck-a-Palooza, face painting, Fuel Up to NFL Play 60, a bike raffle and much, much more.
