JEFFERSON CITY — This Week in the Missouri Senate reviews Senate Bill 5, legislation that modifies several provisions relating to abortion. The new law took effect on Oct. 24, and is the result of the second extra session that was called earlier this year. The legislation has been the catalyst for two legal actions.
