We have concluded the first month of the 2018 legislative session by approving some great people to serve on several of the state’s boards and commissions. This includes Todd Smith of Sedalia, who will serve as chairman for the State Board of Mediation. I am proud to have sponsored his appointment.
Smith and Sen. Crawford
This week, the Missouri Senate passed and sent to the Missouri House of Representatives Senate Bill 563, which would fully reinstate the MO RX Plan, and Senate Bill 659, which increases the maximum amount of grants issued by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for financing certain utility projects, from $1,400 per connection to $3,000 per connection. Missouri senators have also sent to the governor House Bill 1246, which seeks to require certain locations and businesses to post information regarding human trafficking.
I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at (573) 751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
