Celebrating Missouri’s Great Northwest
It was my honor last week to attend Great Northwest Day, an annual event that brings representatives from Missouri’s northwestern region to the state’s capital city. The Mardi Gras celebration, held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, featured music, food and a lot of great folks. Booths scattered around the ballroom were dedicated to showcasing the sights and attractions of several different counties, cities and organizations. I enjoyed stopping by each and every one of them to see the best of what northwest Missouri has to offer. Great Northwest Day is an event legislators from around the state look forward to each year.
