JEFFERSON CITY —Nominations for the lieutenant governor’s Senior Service Award are being accepted through March 29, 2018. Missouri’s seniors should be honored for their commitment to service in their communities beyond retirement. The award is intended to promote and highlight the positive accomplishments of senior citizens across the state.
“I encourage everyone to nominate a senior who has demonstrated their commitment to volunteering in their communities,” said Sen. Hoskins. “It is truly an honor to be able to recognize seniors for their dedication to uplifting our communities even after they have retired. They are exemplary role models and deserve to be acknowledged for their service.”
To nominate a deserving senior, fill out the nomination form and describe why they are deserving of this award. In addition, please attach a letter of recommendation when submitting the nomination. Nominees must be at least 60-years-old and volunteer a minimum of 25 hours per year. The nomination form can be mailed, faxed or emailed to the following address:
