Current Bill Summary

SB 332 - This act specifies that the Department of Revenue may issue a temporary driving privilege to eligible applicants for a period not to exceed 90 days. Applicants whose licenses have expired and who are not eligible for remote renewal under the act shall not be issued licenses beyond 6 months from the original expiration date. (Section 302.181.6(2))

The act repeals obsolete language regarding nondriver's licenses that bear a concealed carry endorsement. (Section 302.181.7)

This act specifies that the Department may issue duplicate licenses remotely to applicants who have at least 6 months left in their current term of issuance, subject to applicable duplicate license fees. (Section 302.181.11(1))

Licenses may be renewed remotely for out-of-state military contractors and their dependents, out-of-state missionaries and their dependents, and applicants who are homebound due to a medical disability or injury. No more than one consecutive remote renewal shall be allowed, and applicants requesting remote renewal who are homebound due to disability or injury shall be eligible for a nondriver's license only. (Section 302.181.11(2))

This act is similar to HB 432 (2019).
