HCB 7 - Under this act, all superintendents and assistant superintendents are required to enter into a written employment contract with a school district as a condition of employment. The requirements for such contracts are set forth in the act, and include the requirement that such contracts incorporate all provisions relating to compensation and benefits to be paid to or on behalf of the superintendent or assistant superintendent, and state that any modifications to the contract shall be in writing and approved by a majority vote of the board members.
