Audio: Sen. Luetkemeyer Discusses Progress Made During First Half of Session

JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer, R-Parkville, discusses tort reform legislation; Right to Life Day at the capitol; his role on the newly created Hyperloop Task Force; the newest member of the Missouri Western State University board of governors; Senate Bill 9 and Senate Joint Resolution 2, both of which relate to requiring the Missouri Senate to try all impeachments and — upon voter approval — modifying what constitutes grounds for impeachment; Senate Bill 12 and 123, which would modify provisions relating to charges for the service of court orders; Senate Bill 8 and 74, legislation that seeks to allow courts to depart from a statutorily required minimum prison term when sentencing a defendant; and Senate Concurrent Resolution 15, which would create procedures for the appointment of commissioners to a convention called under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
