Sen. Crawford’s Capitol Report, for the Week of April 29

This week, we saw two important measures move forward in the Missouri Senate. Senate Bill 391 would reform state law regarding agricultural operations. This bill has passed the Senate floor and is now headed to the Missouri House of Representatives for its approval. Also, Senate Bill 224 seeks to modify various Supreme Court rules relating to discovery. This measure has been given preliminary Missouri Senate approval and awaits a final vote before sending it to the Missouri House of Representatives for similar consideration.

The days and hours that make up the 2019 legislative session are starting to dwindle as the pace of session picks up. In the two weeks we have left, we will send a balanced budget to the governor and continue to discuss legislation on the floor of the Missouri Senate. The budget has to be finished by May 10, and the legislative session will conclude exactly one week later.
