Celebrating Great Northwest Day in Jefferson City
It was a pleasure to attend this year’s Great Northwest Day, an annual event that brings hundreds of people from Missouri’s northwestern region to the state’s capital city. One of the highlights of the event was the Luau Celebration, held at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. Booths scattered around the ballroom were dedicated to showcasing the sights and attractions of several different counties, cities and organizations. I enjoyed stopping by each and every one of them to see the best of what northwest Missouri has to offer.
Lawmakers from around the state look forward to Great Northwest Day each year. It’s always a great opportunity to demonstrate what makes our area of the state so unique.
