JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Brian Munzlinger, R-Williamstown, announced today that two schools in the 18th Senatorial District will receive nearly $10,000 in grant money from the CenturyLink Clark M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology program.
“When local businesses get involved with their communities, everybody wins,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “I want to thank CenturyLink for their commitment, not only to our part of the state, but to the students as well. I know both schools will put these grants to good use for the benefit of all students.”
Black Hawk Elementary School in Kahoka will receive $4,943 and Macon High School has been awarded $4,727.
The Clark M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology program awards grants of up to $5,000 per project for pre-K through high school grades, and has awarded more than $11 million over the past 10 years. So far in 2018, nearly $71,000 has gone to 19 Missouri schools.
“Thank you, again, to CenturyLink and its continuing efforts to better communities throughout the Show-Me State,” Sen. Munzlinger said. “There are numerous great teachers at both Black Hawk Elementary and Macon High School, and I look forward to great things from the wonderful students at both institutions.”
