JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri State Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer, R-Parkville, congratulates Lee Tieman upon his confirmation to the Missouri Western State University Board of Governors.
Tieman was nominated to his seat by the governor and presented to the Missouri Senate Committee on Gubernatorial Appointments by Sen. Luetkemeyer, who serves on the committee. The Board of Governors oversees the four-year university, located in St. Joseph.
A graduate of Columbia College and the University of Missouri School of Law, Tieman is an attorney and managing partner of the law firm Tieman, Spencer and Hicks.

Luetkemeyer said. “In addition to being a respected attorney in our community, Mr. Tieman is a tireless supporter of Missouri Western State University. His dedicated work on behalf of the school will make him a great addition to the Board of Governors.”

The full Senate voted to confirm Tieman’s nomination on Thursday, Jan. 24. His term will expire in 2024.
