Senator Tony Luetkemeyer Named Business Champion by Missouri Chamber
JEFFERSON CITY — State Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer, R-Parkville, was among a number of lawmakers recognized as a 2019 Business Champion by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce during a ceremony held in Jefferson City on Sept. 11.
A statewide organization that advocates for Missouri’s business community, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce bestowed Business Champion recognition to legislators who supported policies to grow the economy and improve the state’s business climate during the 2019 legislative session.
“I was honored to stand alongside other pro-business legislators and be recognized by the Missouri Chamber,” Sen. Luetkemeyer said. “By making Missouri a better place to do business, we increase opportunities and prosperity for all Missourians.”
In naming this year’s Business Champions, Chamber leaders recalled several key legislative successes, including measures to strengthen the state’s workforce, provide investment in infrastructure and make Missouri more competitive with neighboring states.
“The Missouri General Assembly was successful in passing numerous pro-business policies in the 2019 Legislative Session. We applaud our Business Champions for their leadership and commitment to advance legislation that will help our state prosper both now and in the foreseeable future,” said Missouri Chamber President and CEO Daniel P. Mehan.
