JEFFERSON CITY — Senator Bill White, R-Joplin, recently received the Award for Conservative Excellence from the American Conservative Union Foundation. This award recognizes Sen. White for his commitment to America’s foundational principles, as well as the U.S. Constitution. In addition, this prestigious award recognizes Sen. White’s American Conservative Union Foundation (ACUF) rating of 91 percent.
The award criteria is based on the ability of Missouri lawmakers to uphold conservative principles while voting on issues such as tax cuts for individuals and businesses, protections for the lives of the unborn and the elimination of government regulations that stifle innovation and job creation.
“I am truly honored to be a recipient of the highest award from the American Conservative Union Foundation,” said Sen. Bill White, R-Joplin. “I am proud of my conservative principles, and I will continue to uphold these principles as I serve the citizens of Dade, Newton and Jasper counties.”
Senator White was one of 22 legislators recognized by the foundation for receiving its highest rankings during the 2018 legislative session. This ranking occurred while Sen. White was serving his final term in the Missouri House of Representatives.
