JEFFERSON CITY — A day after tabling a move to change rules relating to impeachments in Missouri, the mechanism by which this would go to voters advances. Senate Joint Resolution 2 would require the Missouri Senate — beginning Jan. 1, 2021 — to try all impeachments and modify what constitutes grounds for impeachment. The resolution would put the plan on a future ballot.
