Current Bill Summary

SB 694 - Under current law, charges shall not be made against the unemployment benefits account of an employer with respect to benefits paid to any individual unless that individual was employed for longer than a probationary period of 28 days. This act extends that probationary period to 90 days.

This act is identical to HB 1884 (2020) and SB 157 (2019) and substantially similar to a provision in SCS/HB 332 (2019) and a provision in HB 278 (2019).
