SB 622 - This act establishes the Students' Right to Know Act. Under this act, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education shall be required to collect certain information set forth in the act, including the most in-demand jobs in the state, starting salary, and the education level required for such job, and information about the cost of colleges and vocational schools in the state, and student loans.
This information shall be collected annually by the Department and shall be distributed to every public high school in the state for distribution to students by October 15.
This act is effective on January 1, 2021.
This act is similar to HCS/HBs 1774 & 1994 and a provision in HCS/SS/SCS/SB 528 (2020).
