Between the start of committee hearings and the governor’s annual State of the State Address, this has been a hectic week for Missouri lawmakers. We have a lot of ground to cover in Jefferson City between now and the middle of May.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, the governor gave legislators his legislative agenda for the 2020 legislative session. He addresses the Missouri General Assembly every year, in a joint session of the Legislature, to detail his budget priorities for the upcoming year. Our governor has a very ambitious agenda for 2020, and I know we can work together to bring these ideas to fruition and make Missouri better, not just for 2020, but for decades to come.
In the meantime, legislative committees continue to discuss and debate proposed legislation, and I will keep you up to date on those items most important to the 28th Senatorial District as they move through the process.
