JEFFERSON CITY – State Sen. Brian Williams, D-University City, is proud to congratulate Pamela Westbrooks-Hodge on her appointment to the State Board of Education.
Ms. Westbrooks-Hodge is life-long learner, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 2003, she created a scholarship program called “The Scholarship Solution,” and this program awards a scholarship each year to a deserving high school senior. She was previously appointed by the State Board of Education to the Normandy Schools Collaborative Joint Executive Governing Board, serving as vice president of the board until Feb. 10.
“I am thrilled Ms. Westbrooks-Hodge was appointed to the State Board of Education,” Sen. Williams said. “I was happy to recommend her for this appointment, and I am glad the governor accepted my recommendation. She is certainly well-qualified for this position, and I know she will have a positive impact on the board and our state’s education system during her tenure.”
Ms. Westbrooks-Hodge’s appointment was approved by the General Assembly on Thursday, March 5.
