Sen. Crawford’s Capitol Report, for the Week of Jan. 6

Lawmakers are back at the Capitol for the start of the 2020 legislative session. We are anticipating another frantic five months in Jefferson City, with a lot to accomplish for the citizens of our state.

I have already pre-filed several measures, but there are three that I consider to be a top priority for the people of the 28th Senatorial District. Senate Bill 576 would modify provisions relating to county officials. Senate Bill 577 seeks to reform state law regarding the Property Assessment Clean Energy Act. Senate Bill 578 is a measure that would provide processes for a recorder of deeds to record electronic documents and procedures for remote online notarization. I will keep you apprised of these, and all pertinent legislation, as session progresses.

I am looking forward to another year of serving as your state senator. This will be a challenging year, and I appreciate all of the help and support from constituents throughout my district. Without their help, I would not be here.

I am honored to serve as your senator in the Missouri Senate. If, at any time, you have questions, concerns or ideas regarding state government, please feel free to contact me at (573) 751-8793 or Sandy.Crawford@senate.mo.gov.
