The question of how to pay for needed infrastructure improvements continues to be asked. For Missouri senators, it comes down to what options they might have. “The best that we can do is put forward a gas tax to address the transportation needs,” Sen. Schatz said.

“If we work hard that reasonable people can come up to reasonable solutions,” Sen. Walsh said.
With several measures now having been voted “do pass” in committee, the first legislative discussions could start on the floor of the Missouri Senate this week. This is the fourth week of the 2020 legislative session.
