SB 58 - This act modifies provisions relating to voting in elections.EARLY VOTING (SECTION 155.274)
Under current law, a person cannot vote early, but may vote absentee for candidates and ballot issues in any election in which he or she is eligible to vote if such voter expects to be prevented from going to the polls for specified reasons.
This act permits a person to vote early, for any reason, from the sixth Tuesday before the election until 7:00PM on the Monday immediately before the election.
ABSENTEE VOTING (SECTIONS 115.277, 115.279, and 115.283)
Under current law, a person may vote absentee for candidates and ballot issues in any election in which he or she is eligible to vote if such voter expects to be prevented from going to the polls for specified reasons. This act permits a person to vote absentee for any reason or no reason at all.

The act is similar in concept to HB 368 (2019) and HCS/HB 731 (2019).
