Current Bill Summary

SB 337 - For purposes of the practice of surgery requiring the practitioner to be a registered physician, this act defines the term "surgery" and provides that nothing in the act shall be construed to prohibit a health care practitioner from practicing his or her profession within the scope of the practitioner's license or certificate as otherwise authorized by law as of the effective date of this act.

This act is identical to a provision in SB 8 (2021) and is similar to a provision in SB 942 (2020).
