SB 497 - Currently, the Save the Family Farm Act provides that if any cotenant has requested partition by sale after the determination of value of the heirs' property, the court shall send notice to the parties that any cotenant, except for the requesting cotenant, may buy all the interests of the requesting cotenants. This act provides that if any cotenant has requested partition by sale the court shall send the notice to the parties after the determination of value of the property.

This act contains an emergency clause.
