SB 518 - This act requires the State Board of Education to amend the existing health or physical education academic performance standards, learning standards, and curriculum frameworks to include instruction on the use and evidence based effects of vapor products, noncombustible products used to produce vapor from nicotine as defined in current law related to the sale of tobacco products to minors.

This act includes tobacco and vapor products in the definition of drugs for purposes of the Drug Free Schools Act.

This act is identical to HB 62 (2021) and is similar to HB 1808 (2020).
